Happy 10th Anniversary Timmins CRC!
Timmins Accident Support Services Ltd. celebrated 10 years of collision reporting services to the Timmins Police Service and the citizens of Timmins. Police, CRC staff and guests gathered at the Collision Reporting Centre located at 185 Spruce Street South for presentations and refreshments to mark a decade of service.
Chief John Gauthier said, “We are happy to have partnered with Accident support Services for the past 10 years. It has been a great relationship, not only for us as a Police Service but for the public as well. We are thankful for the recent support from Accident Support Service to help our Service obtain a speed reading unit. It has helped reduce overall speed and we have seen a reduction our numbers.”
Since opening in 2007, the Timmins CRC has taken 9,962 collision reports; assisting 17,520 parties to complete their reports, contact their loved ones and insurance companies and helping the Timmins Police to reallocate more of their officers to higher calls for service.
